3D ARTWORK
Creating 3D environments requires a strong sense of visual storytelling, treating each scene like a character with its own narrative. It’s about understanding its journey - from design to habitation. This is accomplished through various technical methods, including 3D modeling in Maya, texturing in the Substance Suite or Photoshop, and enhancing the scene with effects, lighting, and atmospherics to soften harsh edges and bring the environment to life. The final result is rendered in programs like Maya, Marmoset, or Unreal Engine 5.
Each scene consists of a variety of assets and structures, tackled with different modeling techniques. These methods are shaped by the scene's purpose - be it animation or interactive games - which dictates the rules for how objects are modeled, and detail/polycount applied.
